Wearable Art and Design

Beauty WAD

Wearable Art and Design (WAD) competitions are fun, ultra creative opportunities for designers to flaunt their flare through visuals and performances on the runway. Anything goes! Well, almost anything.

Artists involved with Art For Change / Beauty WAD were required to have at least 80% of their materials from used, discarded or natural fibres. Used packaging and fibres have weird quirks and wild colors and shimmers and curves. Not a problem for our participating designers! Their beautiful creations were showcased on the runway and in the gallery.

Blue Moose Publications (books) and Blue Moose Design (exhibits) are part of the creative development and  management services offered by Hanna Miller. The Blue Moose name is symbolic of the synaptic anatomy of a moose - a gangly collection of body parts that work really well together as a unit. Blue Moose relies on the creativity and expertise of an eclectic group of freelancers, including scribes, poets, builders, engineers, climbers, painters, photographers, illustrators, designers and crafters. BC Wine Country was the first magazine series for Blue Moose. Kelowna Rock is its first venture into creating a digital and print series.
